  4. Teacher I have just read an article in an English magazine and it is about PANCAKE it say: "There is a pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday, a few days ago) is an annual event in Britian. One way to celebrate is to take part in a pancake race. At the famous Westminister School in London, boys gather in tthe playground where the school cook tosses a huge pancake over a high bar. The boys race to grab the largest portion of the pancake possible, and the winner receives a prize."

    1. Yes, it's like our "Martes de carnaval". Here, in Spain, it is typical to cook "frixuelos" in Asturias and "filloas" in Galicia. They are very similar to pancakes, only thinner. Have you tried cooking pancakes?

  5. You've all complained about how difficult it is to write a recipe. Well, you only need to know the ingredients (if you don't know how to say something, look it up!!) Then, you can sequence the procedure using words like "first, then, after that...". And remember to use the imperative form of verbs. It's as easy as pie!! (=very, very easy).
Will you please try now??? I expect some of you will...

  8. Hi teacher! I'm going to try with migas recipe:

    MIGAS-BREADCRUMBS (6-9 persons aproximately):

    Ingredients:
    - 3-4 loafs of stale bread.
    - 1 kg. fatty bacon
    - 10 chorizos
    - 3-4 cloves of garlic
    - 1 l. olive oil
    - Salt and paprika

    Directions:
1.- First of all, cut the stale bread into tiny pieces and then, dampen in water, salt and paprika.
2.- After that, fry the crushed garlics in 4 tablespoonfuls of oil and then drain.
3.- Later, fry the fatty bacon and chorizos in the same oil.
4.- Leave 1 tablespoonful of oil in the pan and fry the bread for about 2 minutes.
5.- Add the fatty bacon and chorizos and fry lightly until the bread is golden, stirring constantly.
6.- Finally, garnish with the fried garlic and serve.

    • If you want, you can eat migas with eggs and red peppers too. What's more, you must eat migas with grapes and a bottle of red wine and it will be so delicious.
The best time to make migas is when you go to the countryside with your family or friends for all the day. I like migas very much!
Teacher I hope you try to make migas one day. It isn't difficult!
